KENGAI (Style Fallen)

This style represents trees that grow on the precipices and cracks of the mountains, or on bluffs to peak on the sea. The Chinese artists loved to paint these trees because they solicited their imagination. The style to fall is what underlines the sour and tiresome aspect of the nature more than the other ones, because from the image of trees that you/they fight for surviving, seized to rocks with torn branches and trunks modified by the so many adversities. Then to create a bonsai in style Kengai is necessary to give him a suffered aspect: torsions on every element jin, shari, the branches have to be driven in places where the light and the triangular head of hair is accessible, draft and compact. For this style there is need of a deeper vase of the usual one to get a certain visual equilibrium. There are various types of style to fall: Kengai, Han-Kengai, Gaito-Kengai, Give-Kengai and Ito-Kengai
