Style
FUKINAGASHI (Windy)
To create a bonsai in style FUKINAGASHI, means to reproduce the
image of trees constantly beaten by the wind and not only. That is
it doesn't need to represent only the wind that is blowing on the
tree, but also to represent the effect of the action of the wind in
the time. In fact these trees are seen on the tall coastlines, and
their trunks and their branches are invariably turned I pour earth
and, because of the wind rich in saltiness that blows strong from
the sea, they very often appear naked and whitened. Therefore for
this style it is very important the angle of inclination of the
branches in comparison to the trunk, as also the position in which
is planted in the vase, since, there are no branches on a side and
curtains to give a feeling of instability. If he/she is wanted to
represent a tree strongly beaten by the wind it needs to remember
himself/herself/themselves that also the lowest branches will have
to be curved. The trees with this form are a po the symbol of the
tenacity, of the unwavering and of the human courage in front of
the adversities. Artists of every time both in the painting that I/you/they
are often inspired you to express the untamable spirit of the man in
the bonsai.
